Clients will be deemed to have accepted WWT’s terms and conditions for each service on booking of services.
General:
1. All personal information, including addresses, phone numbers etc will be held securely by WWT and all communication is strictly confidential and only between the Client and WWT. It will not be shared with any 3rd parties. Keys retained by us will be kept securely and will only be marked with the name of your dog and any internal office codes. Your address or phone number will not be present on the key tag.
2. The Client agrees to ensure that their dog wears a collar and tag with the telephone number of the owner engraved upon it, as required by UK law. All dogs must be provided with a collar or harness and lead and WWT will not be held liable for any injury, damage or death caused by or incurred due to the client's dog escaping due to an ill-fitting or faulty collar or lead. In addition, the Client agrees that WWT is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with their dog.
3. The Client agrees to provide keys or arrange access to the pets for the agreed appointment. The Client agrees that, by signing the key holder waiver form this will indemnify WWT in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents, in present and future circumstances.
4. In case of emergency, WWT will endeavour to contact the owner directly but if they are unable to, the Client authorises WWT to seek veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary. Whenever possible this will be carried out by the Client’s nominated vet but where this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency), the Client accepts that WWT may use any registered vet. The Client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of WWT, together with any associated costs (e.g. call-out charges). The Client agrees to pay all such costs immediately upon pick-up of their dog, or by agreement with the proprietor.
5. The Client agrees that any harm, damage, injury or death caused to or by their pet or any third party while in the care of Wonderful Walkies Torbay is solely the responsibility of the Client, and that Wonderful Walkies Torbay is indemnified in full against any and all associated costs.
The Client further agrees that they do not hold Wonderful Walkies Torbay responsible if their pet becomes lost or stolen, or if it endangers or injures itself during this time.
6. Full payment for services is to be made within 7 days of receipt of invoice or, by the date specified on the invoice by cash, or bank transfer. We kindly ask that all monies are paid in full by that time; if payment is not made within this time 2.5% of the total bill will be added for each day that payment is overdue.
Dog Walking
1. The Client must disclose during the free consultation any behavioural or medical condition that may make their dog unsuitable for group walks. (This would include antisocial behaviour, aggression, possessive behaviour, lack of training and conditions such as incontinence, chronic vomiting or travel/ mobility problems). The Client agrees that, in admitting their dog, WWT has relied on the Client’s representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour toward any person or any other dog. WWT must also be informed if your dog does or has ever used a muzzle and this should be made available for use at our discretion.
The Client agrees that their dog will initially be under a trial period and that WWT reserve the right to refuse or discontinue walks for any dog deemed to be unsuitable for group walks.
2. In extreme weather (e.g. very hot/cold weather, thunder etc ) walks may be shortened to ensure the comfort and safety of the dogs and walker. This will be at the dog walker’s discretion.
3. WWT will only let dogs off the lead once an ‘off the lead consent form’ has been signed, and the decision to not walk a dog off lead will remain at the discretion of WWT, even where an off-lead consent form has been signed.
4. WWT offer services where dogs mingle in groups and the Client accepts that during the course of normal dog-to-dog interaction, their dog may sustain injuries. All dog activity is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision. The Client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of WWT, together with any associated costs (e.g. call-out charges).
5. The Client is solely responsible for all harm, injury, damage or death caused by their dog while it is under the care of WWT and the Client agrees to indemnify WWT in full against any liability arising from such harm, injury, damage or death to either their own dog or to any third parties. WWT are fully insured for third party liability; however, we advise all Clients to have their own pets insured.
The Client further agrees that they do not hold Wonderful Walkies Torbay responsible if their dog becomes lost or stolen, or if it endangers or injures itself during this time.
6. WWT reserves the right to refuse admission if the Client fails to provide adequate proof of vaccinations (including Bordetella), or the vaccinations are found to be expired or otherwise incomplete. The Client agrees to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The Client further agrees to notify WWT immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. WWT cannot accept bitches in season or pregnant. WWT reserves the right to refuse admission until satisfied that the condition is resolved.
7. If using our pet taxi service, any owner that wishes to accompany their pet companion in the vehicle, does so at their own risk. While we are fully insured, our insurance policy does not cover injury to any non-staff passengers.
